This Aztec motif was inspired by a trip to Mexico City. The Aztecs considered feathers to be one of nature's most valuable gifts. Feathers were thought to be magical and those who wore feathers were among the most powerful leaders in the culture. Moctezuma's headdress contained thousands of feathers.
