This book was created for Kathryn’s grandson, Frankie.

Each illustration uses subjects drawn from Frankie’s everyday world. 

·       Max is Kathryn’s cat. Whenever Frankie facetimes his grandparents, the first question is “Where’s Kitten?”

·       Frankie and his parents live on a couple of acres in Vermont. It was a cold winter, so mittens.

·       The neighbors have chickens in their backyard and Frankie visits each morning.

·       Trucks, of course.

·       The view from Frankie’s kitchen window looks out over Lake Champlain to the Adirondack mountains in New York. He looks for birds in the sky every day.

·       Kathryn’s son is a musician, and Frankie has his own pink guitar.  

·       There’s a raspberry patch on their land.

·       Another baby is coming this summer, so eight muck boots.

·       All bugs are lady bugs.

·       Toes. He never goes anywhere without them.
